What makes one person bruise worse over another? Does it have something to do with the doctor's skills or is it the person's skin? Or how about ther person and same doctor. Why would that person bruise one time and not another?
luck is a huge part. also, minimizing needle sticks and using cannulas all make my bruising much less. in addition, pre-icing the area which i do and also your avoiding aspirin and other products, etc. there are many factors that limit bruising but to be honest, i typically get a lot less bruising than most docs out there. a lot less.
Do you recommend anything specific to prevent and heal bruising? I know of the typical arnica pellets and gel and vitamin K cream but is there anything else you recommend?
it is more important what you don't do (alcohol for a few days to a week, taking vitamin E, fish oil caps, aspirin, advil, etc.) than what you do do (take vitamin k, etc.) however, those things won't hurt and you can take them. i hope that answer helps. best, sml
