drug interactions?

Postby sun123 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 7:32 pm

HI

is the use of accutane contraindicated for the botox (for jaw reduction) and dimple procedures or any other procedures?

Thank you.

no, not for the ones you have mentioned. but a facelift or laser resurfacing would not be safe. anything that cuts on the outer skin or resurfaces the skin are not great for someone currently on accutane or who has finished accutane within the last year. i am more conservative and typically wait a year and a half in many cases. since fat transfer also does not require cutting i have done this procedure a few months after stopping accutane in a couple of patients.
best,
sml
