Eyelid - part of incision line not closed

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Eyelid - part of incision line not closed

Postby confuze » Wed Oct 22, 2008 5:33 pm

What is your recommendation if part of the skin on the incision line is not closing after suture is gone (no bleeding) ? Part being near the corner where it gets agitated every time the eyes opens and closes - about 1/3 inches. It opens up when eyes are closed. Would you recommend resuturing to keep it close or leaving it alone. Will leaving it alone take a long time to heal and leave a more noticeable scar?
