This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)
hi there, i know u mentioned in previous posts that you used to inject through the mouth but don't do it much anymore. if a patient requested it however would you still do it? i ask as i have had resty and perlane imjected but it left unsightly red marks at injection points. i want to do it again but through the mouth instead.
okay, that is doable for the cheek. however, you will get much less of an effect potentially because it is injected deep. let me take a look and i will try my best to accommodate. i think i can aim the needle superficially enough from the mouth that you should be fine. best, sml
never. too little control on a permanent filler that must be precisely placed. the mouth is dirty too and when i do fat transfer i sterilely prep everything out including the harvest areas. i think whatever problem you had with a needle puncture should be easily avoided with my technique. i have seen a couple of small tattoo marks from the injection site that i can burn away in a second. also, tethering can occur but extremely rarely. that can be fixed with a little needle subcision. both 2 minute office procedures and these are EXTREMELY rare. best, sml
