go ahead and post it. just leave off the w's in front of your URL because i have that as a spam filter. my surgery center is one of the few in the nation that is very green. we have recycling bins in our surgery center, kitchen, everywhere. i have it at home as well.
a story i watched on 60 minutes a couple of weeks ago broke my heart. they showed how computers we buy get tossed out at a rate of about 120,000 per year not to mention printers, tvs, etc. all of which have dangerous elements in them like mercury, arsenic, etc. even though a company shown, something like executive recycling, claimed that their recycling was staying in the U.S. 60 minutes found that their cathode ray tubes, etc. were being shipped to Hong Kong for landfills that were against international trade laws and were being at times caught and shipped back to the U.S. In China, people's health are being terribly compromised by polluted waters etc. in cities where these old electronic parts are being taken apart and contaminating the drinking water, etc. here's my apple rave (sorry) but their latest laptops are completely arsenic, mercury, etc. free. they are really ahead of the game as far as being energy star compliant. bravo! also, did you see those unibody designs! wow! i would love to know HOW DO I SAFELY GET RID OF MY E-WASTE? anyone know. they did not mention this on 60 minutes.
thanks for sharing,
