I have some depressed acne scars that were caused by tissue loss. I had Radiesse injections performed about 4 four months ago, but I dont think it took very well as the depressions are not much improved. Can the surgiwire procedure still be performed taking the Radiesse into account?

surgiwire in my experience (and in many of my surgeon's hands as well) is one of the deadliest weapons out there. it does not help but hurts. i stopped doing it a year or so ago. that won't help. i prefer silicone micro for permanent correction depending on the type of scar.

Thank you for your quick attention to my question. In your opinion, do you feel the same way about undermining the scars prior to silicone micro? Or do you think that it could provide added results?

in most cases you do not need to undermine before silicone micro. that being said, there are certain types of scars that respond to silicone micro (rolling deformities and larger holes) and those that do not (regardless of subcision/undermining) like icepicks and small dermal nicks.
