silikon 1000

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

silikon 1000

Postby randnguyen88 » Sun Mar 17, 2013 6:00 pm

Hello,

I've been researching about you for a while for the silicon injections. I had skin grafts for my acne scars from a surgeon here in California, but, he did a horrible job and made the grafts to big. So, I had it excised, and that went horrible also because of bad suturing. Now I'm left with linear INDENTED scars from the excision. Will the silicon injection lift up this indentation? I've been feeling depress and horrible for a while now, I am waiting for my scars to mature more, and am I saving money to come see you this summer once the scar is more mature. Thanks a lot, I'm hoping you say yes because I want my life back again..

linear depressions may be harder to manage. silikon helps slightly wider depressions but i would have to see them to determine it more accurately.

Thank you for your response. I'm actually 4 months post up from surgery. I'm still waiting for it to mature more since its still red. But the indented linear scars are not thin. They are wide rectangular scars. It's hard to show a pic right now due to it still being red. Do you think this treatment will benefit? Much appreciate it Dr. Lam.

Your the best at your responses. I still have 2 circular grafts onto my skin that will not flatten out. What would you recommend I should do to flatten out these grafts? Obviously excision/lasers was the worst ideas ever, plus I had a bad surgeon. Thanks so much, much appreciate it.

hard to say without seeing you but 5FU may help to bring them down if there is underlying scar tissue.
