i believe that with silicone when you put punctate amounts in you get the product to lift the area better than sticking a mound of it in as you do with restylane and perlane. when you put a big mound of it in with the technique for restylane and perlane, you tend to have the product disperse around the area rather than going into it. funny thing is i just did a 3rd round for a lady yesterday who said that my silicone blew the pants off her previous experience with dermabrasion and restylane injections (donna, if you are reading this, i would love for you to comment and tell your experience!). i truly believe that restylane is a different animal for acne scarring. i tend to get less success with it. that being said, i still use it when someone does not want silicone.
