Hi!

Can you tell me how long it takes to see the final results for silicone injections to the lips?

generally, it takes 2 to 3 rounds spaced one month at a minimum apart between sessions to achieve the result you are looking for. for very very subtle results i have had some patients who were happy after one. but generally, many do not see a huge change after one round. some desire 4 to 5 rounds but that is also very unlikely. some people just need one lip or i do one lip if the other lip is unbalanced. these are some of the variables involved. hope that is clear.

Ok I'm not really sure how long it takes to get the results but...can you give me an idea?? I've had these injections and don't see but very very minimul improvements. Is there a timeframe you can say ok...this is the final result? Also, is there a reason silicone would not work on me? Is this a product that wouldn't work in a particular person/situation? I do appreciate your caution btw.

ok, here are my thoughts:
as far as a final result, i would have to see your lips to decide. here is the reason: if you have for example an upper lip that shows very little red lip then it is very hard to flip it upward to show more red no matter how much silicone is placed. however, those who have a little bit of red showing typically can get the red to flip upward and show more vertical height after a couple of rounds. obviously, everyone is different. for the bottom lip, typically, this is much easier to augment and could be augmented over and over again and continue to show more lip each time. obviously, there would come a point where the lip would not look better with greater augmentation, especially if the upper lip is failing to be augmented further. then the two lips would not be matched. in general, the bottom lip should be bigger anyway, and as you probably know it is the most important lip to augment to create a soft, pouty look without the risk of a ducky, weird look. unfortunately, most women coming to me are obsessed with the top lip looking better when in fact the bottom is what delivers the pretty look without a real risk of looking fake. hope all that makes sense.
