Dear Dr Lam,
I am a sufferer from rosacea in my early 30s. Recently I noted there are some deformation on my nose and even my dermatologist confirmed it. So I am naturally scared since I have been googling the rosacea picture online since that day.
The only comfort I would get is to know that there are available technology to treat the disfigurement which is very likely to happen to me at this progressive rate.
I did some research on the surgery options. There are like CO2 laser cut to remove overgrowth tissues.
The concern I still have is that I usually see people with advanced Rhinophoma usually have thickened "orange skin" resulting in enlargement of the nose as a whole, not just bumps. So I am still worried that even there are surgeries to remove the bumps, there may not be surgeries to correct the thickened tissues resulting in a giant nose.
So I would like some advises so that I know it is not completely hopeless for me.
I hope my question is not too off topic from your specialty.
Thank you for your insights.
