Rhinoplasty after injection by filler

Postby Cgirl39 » Wed Mar 06, 2013 5:00 pm

Hi, can I have a rhinoplasty after my 1 year of the filler? I am not so satisfied because the bridge of mu nose is not that straight that I wanted. Plus the tip of my nose is not well prominent yet. My question is what would happened if silicone is placed after the hyaluronic acid was injected to my nose one year ago? I researched about rhinoplasty and i think I wanna go for closed rhinoplasty. Now is it possible? Thanks in advance....

in general, it is not a great idea to get a surgical rhinoplasty after an injectable rhinoplasty for a few reasons. first, the tissue planes are distorted and second the blood supply is diminished, both of which increase risk with surgery. third, if you are using a temporary filler, and you have surgery you may have an issue with the rhinoplasty being performed based on how the nose appears currently with the temporary filler in there. you may want to do a small dissolve first in any areas that are still augmented and wait a few months before considering surgery. you can overdissolve the area and lead to too much collapse which generally returns so being very conservative is important. definitely do not do silicone on top of restylane if you are planning a surgical rhinoplasty.
