retin a & other topicals on fresh scars

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions addressing linear scars, depressed scars, keloid scars, hypertrophic scars, and other facial reconstructive topics. (Of note, Dr. Lam no longer accepts medical insurance so he rarely manages cancer reconstruction or trauma anymore.)

retin a & other topicals on fresh scars

when can i resume using retin-a and vitamic c serum on my face after excisions? I knwo they can be irritating so i dont want to start too early, especially retin-a.

for my patients i say 1 month for retin-a and vitamin c probably could be used immediately to help with wound healing.
