thanks again. i was more conservative and did a 1/4 in each anterior cheek and a 1/4 in each buccal (for a total of one syringe of perlane). she may need one more but i wanted to save her a few bucks and try that first. btw, as far as the lines are concerned, i do perform filling lines in younger people but they must have a shape of the line that warrants treatment, i.e., a parentheses look that resembles a clown if you will. i did it in my own nursing director's line (of course, with volume balancing) at the tender age of 35. the young lady in question here had a similar line shape but the only problem is her lines really only appeared during motion not at rest so she would have had a poor result with filling.

Christina or Dr. Lam,

If you come on this forum often, can you tell me how the results are post injection. I learned a lot from reading your back and forth conversations and I am curious to know what difference you or Dr. Lam have noticed since your last injection visit. Are you overall happy with your results, I hope you are.

PS. I am very amazed and impressed at your talent with how you word your sentences. You obviously are a very brilliant person and a great speller. You can spell words I would have to look up in a dictionary. Wow, very impressive.

actually, i saw her and we both agreed that she needed another syringe. i was just trying my best to save her from spending more money. i gave her the $100 discount as if she did it the same day so that she would not be further penalized for doing it on split days. i think she will have a great result. i think i am seeing her next week. hopefully that is the case. remember she is very young and beautiful already so hopefully i have done some good.

I like how you have people share their testimonies post injection. Maybe she can share her testimony and you can put it up for us to see. With her permission of course. I would love to see how looks after her second syringe. I know a lot of people are probably curious. If you look at the number of people that have read her posts, it is thousands, very popular.

If this Christie girl is beautiful then why does she need all this work done at the age of 24. When I was 24, volume injections never crossed my mind as I didn't need them. I have never heard of a person that young coming in for injections before. To me, it's like a teenager coming in. I hope that doesn't sound rude, but I am a little confused here.

she is very thin and gaunt that leads to a slightly older look that could have some benefit from balancing. go to my injectable gallery under resources then under before and after gallery tab and you will see #6: a beautiful blond girl who is only 29 who is very thin and gaunt. i was able to rebalance her face to make her look even more alluring, feminine, and softer.

First and foremost, a warm thanks to those of you who've expressed an interest in the results of my procedure. My sincerest apologies for taking such an obnoxiously long period of time to touch base with everyone. Life's been extremely hectic these last few months; job hunting, helping my neighbors move, a new nephew, multiple weddings, and a family reunion -- it's just been one thing right after another.

As for my experience with Dr. Lam, I am most pleased! I cannot possibly extend him high enough praise. He and his staff have truly made an indelible impression upon me. I am especially grateful his years of experience granted him the keen foresight to wisely assess that I was targeting the wrong zones for enhancement. He eventually talked me out of proceeding with the nasolabial folds and under eye injections. I trusted his discretion that it would have more than likely resulted in wasted money with less than stellar results. We eventually agreed to plump up my cheeks a bit, just enough to soften the flattened appearance in the area directly at both sides of my nose. It's not overly done or artificial looking, and his dental blocks work like magic; all three injections were painless.

I have to admit, I was not initially satisfied with the first two injections, but Dr Lam (being the impeccable professional that he is and following through with his generous policy) offered me a 3rd syringe free of charge. That is unheard of. Before I met Dr Lam, I had never come across a doctor willing to give their patient a free ANYTHING just to make sure they were content with the outcome. Unfortunately, it seems to be the common consensus of many that cosmetic doctors are prone to being a tad pompous and greedy; if you're less than pleased with their results, they often resort to a "Hey, that's YOUR problem!" type of attitude, simply viewing you as a dollar sign rather than actively working in tandem with you in order to cultivate a solid patient/doctor relationship. Good news, Dr Lam is far from the pompous, greedy type. I can assure you of that. He is very down to earth and pleasant with a great sense of humor that immediately puts you at ease. He's the real deal and genuinely values the satisfaction of his patients. He'll put your best interest at the forefront without fail.

As for his staff - they are the warmest most friendliest people ever. I once told Dr Lam I felt like I was attending a family reunion because they really make you feel like family there. They'll make your stay a cozy one, too. A member of his staff always kindly offered me a snack and drink while I waited in the front or watched some television on their large flat-screen TV in the back. Also, he has a beautiful office and waiting room area. You'll wonder if you just stepped into an art exhibit.

In a nutshell: There is no other doctor out there who I would trust to work on my face or recommend to friends and family looking to undergo a cosmetic enhancement. Years from now, when I start inching towards middle-age and my face seriously starts to fall apart, Dr Lam will be my go-to guy, because he's the only doctor I'd trust not to turn me into the Bride of Frankenstein or financially take advantage of me. He's the full package: he has a wonderful personality; he's humble; he's passionate about his artistry; he has honesty and integrity; he has an awesome staff; and he truly makes you feel cared for as a person - not a paycheck.

Yes, Dr Lam will definitely be seeing me again.

any product in the smile lines tends not to last as long even with perlane. in my hands i can get pretty good results with perlane in the smile lines without much risk. however, yes, it is much thicker and can be lumpier but i doubt with my technique you will have that problem. it just does not last that long for 2 reasons:
1. your smile lines are paper thin between a line and not having a line. not easy to fill in the sense that i have to use less product there so that it won't be lumpy. with less product, it will be gone faster.
2. they are highly mobile so you lose product much more quickly there.

btw, because i buy in volume, i charge the same for perlane and restylane. most don't.

I completely agree with you. My smile lines are indeed "paper thin" (something I was too stubborn to fully realize beforehand), thus why we ultimately agreed upon moving our focus elsewhere -- to my gaunt cheeks, which previously hardened my face. I am SO GLAD I trusted your advice and expertise. You certainly have an artistic eye and know the ins-and-outs of creating facial balance, so I would have been a fool not to. I truly believe I'd have ended up being disappointed had I gone forward with the nasolabial folds and under eye injections for the very reasons you've expressed. I have no regrets and I looooove my results!

Also, regarding my previous post, I don't want to cause anyone to jump to false conclusions, so I feel the need to clear something up. Although Dr Lam is a sincerely thoughtful and generous man, he is not able to go around handing out procedures to people free of charge - understandably. (After all, he and his staff have to earn a living, too.) However, I found out shortly thereafter that what he generously did for me - with reference to the third injection - is his own personal policy with regard to fillers. I just want to emphasize that to protect against my words possibly being misinterpreted.

yes same price. in my hands for the lower face, perlane is very safe. the only place i am not a fan is around the eyes, as the product is too thick. the only negative is that it can feel a little firmer for the first 4 to 6 weeks and also when you smile it can feel slightly tight. this typically goes away after a few weeks.

Right after I stopped it, I have a filler injected under the eyes of Juvederm, in the cheek Radiesse, silicon in the lower cheek. I do not have any "scars",Tera Items nor is it I noticed that "healing is slow."...

same price for restylane and perlane. i don't use perlane around the eyes, as i think it is too thick in that area to be smooth. o/w i think perlane works just as well as restylane without a real risk of bumpiness so long as an experienced injector is doing it. now perlane does FEEL a bit bumpier or firmer for the first month or so but after that you usually cannot feel either product.
