Dr. Lam, just wanted to post that you did an outstanding job on my last injections done in November - I think you used Perlane only. I am a male in my later 30's and had it placed in my upper cheeks and around my chin. The chin injections really did make a nice improvement. The overall change was very nice but subtle, which is a good thing. I really had no downtime at all... NO BRUISING whatsover!

I do have a question about the potential for other fillers with more longevity. One of your staff members said you may be looking at some fillers with more longevity... I have done pretty will with the Perlane but can you give any info on what fillers they may have been referring to and your experience with them? Sorry if you'v covered this in another post... Thanks!

yes, if people want more permanent fillers, the three that i use are fat, silicone, and artefill. i use fat for volume restoration, but if i remember who you are you don't need this and it does fluctuate with weight which is the biggest risk. silicone i only use for lip enhancement and acne scars and to correct small tiny defects. i am now using artefill just for lines and folds in younger people and for volume touch ups in older people (over 45 to 50) in tiny amounts. i am less desirous of putting these volume injections with artefill (at this time) for younger individuals because i don't know how they will age. in short, i would like to focus on safety first. i think if you are the gentleman who comes in from the East Coast then i would say please stick with perlane for now because i think it is your best option until my thinking continues to mature and i accept more options. i am a stickler for safety first, as you know.
