I was thinking... We all hear what's wrong with the world every day (or, sadly, witness it). But there is a lot in the world that is good and beautiful and nice, and people doing wonderful stuff.

What if, to help us stay positive and/inspire us, we shared here (not sure how, the Dr might have an idea) "beautiful" news?

That is:
a) something heroic or generous someone did toward other people, animals or something positive for the world in general...

b) learn of the good work of some people, how to help them...

c) share some quotes, thoughts that we find inspiring and positive.

yes, yes, yes. that is what this section is intended for. i'm glad someone is getting that. God bless to all who are willing to share a little about their soul here!

Here goes a cute story... it is not really "news" by now (happened long ago). I love hearing of situations where people and animals help each other!

Seagull Gets Artificial Leg Made Of Barbie Doll Parts
Bird Found With Limb On Verge On Gangrene

Martha the seagull was found by a yacht crew in the city of Antalya, Turkey, with a leg that was on the verge of gangrene.

The crew, apparently inspired by peg-leg pirates, amputated the leg and created a new one with the leg of a Barbie doll and a big Barbie doll hand as a foot.

Martha can now walk and even run around the boat on the leg.

A badly injured seagull was saved after its wounded leg was amputated and replaced with parts from a Barbie doll.

Florida's Local 6 News reports the seagull was operated on by the crew of a yacht visiting the city of Antalya, Turkey.

The crew, apparently inspired by peg-leg pirates, amputated the bird's leg and created a new one using a Barbie doll's leg.

They made a foot from the doll's hand.

The seagull has made a good recovery and is now walking, and even running, around the boat on the new leg.

I have a story- about how dolphins help to protect humans from sharks.

In New Zealand, a lifeguard and his 15 year-old daughter were swimming and found themselves a little further out into the water than was deemed safe. A great white shark began circling them and the two divers became frantic. A group of dolphins surrounded the swimmers in a circle formation (with the divers being in the middle of the circle) and began slapping the water feverishly and making sonar sounds to scare away the shark. It worked! I am amazed at how dolphins are so in tune with humans.

I liked the bird with the Barbie foot story! How inspiring!

i wanted to share with you a great dolphin encounter i had a few years ago. i was in Roatan, Honduras for diving. It was the second of two dives and we were surfacing. as we hit 30 feet under water, we started to hear this chirping noise. looking upward and then around us, we saw a pod of dolphin, somewhere between 5 and 10, i can't remember. dolphins love the sound of engines, so the boat went back and forth over us so that the dolphins wouldn't leave. they were smaller than the large porpoise and were brown with white freckles. they were very playful and it was like 5 minutes of heaven where they swam around and around us. really cool. i will always remember that.

awesome,they are the most amazing ,gentle creatures.

quite recently around 20 were washed up on a beach in England,they tried desperatly to save them but sadly most of then died.
how and why they became disorientated is a complete mystery.

last year a Whale found its way into the River Thames,again every effort was made to take him back to the sea,but the poor thing was completly exhausted and the rescue failed.

very sad. i love water and water animals. i miss diving. haven't had much time for it recently. have to finish this book due in a couple of months! okay, seriously, good night for me now.
