from my honest experience with blue peels versus plasma (at high energy settings NOT low), here are my opinions:
blue peels for pores: absolutely zero. no question zero. in fact, read any of my blogs on 35% TCA. it will clean up the superficial skin but nothing deeper. wrinkle improvement is transitory and useless for anything other than fine crepiness.
plasma at at least 3.5 J: very poor for deep wrinkles around the mouth. same results as TCA for superficial damage. however, here is where high-energy plasma diverges from a blue peel: pore reduction, texture, and tone. now, many people that are obsessed with pores may not see enough difference but i truly see nice changes. does it get rid of pores, no. is it consistent? i don't know. i would say that in many many patients the texture tone and pores look much better. remember that takes 8 months to a year to see that change. here is another confounding variable. about 95% of my plasma is done with fat transfer, which alone can benefit texture tone. so i can't make a perfect read on my results. as far as giving you a number on your scale, i would say a 2.
best,
