I have read a few of your posts and I know that you are conservative about performing lip lifts, I appreciate that. I am a 39 year old woman looking into possibilities for a lip lift. My lip completely covers my teeth when at rest and when talking, I show about 3/4 of my incisors when smiling. I have had Juviderm in my upper lip and I think that has exasperated the long lip look. The procedures that require incision and removal of skin are something I just won't consider because of the scarring. I heard of a procedure done by a Houston Dr. where they place a permanent stitch in the nose through the lip muscles to slightly lift the lip. I understand that it is reversible, leaves no scar, and has a good success rate. On the other hand there is no information on how long it will last. There is very little information on the internet about this procedure, so I would like your opinion on this technique and would like to know if you would consider performing it.
honestly, that sounds a bit too good to be true. first, if it is a permanent stitch, i would not want it. i try not to use any permanent sutures. second, even it is one, they tend to tear through over time and leave nothing. i used to do that to cinch in the base of the nose. simply put, it does not work. i would have to see you to determine your candidacy for which combination of procedures.
