for people over 40, liposuction without a facelift is dangerous. too much risk of skin loosening and bands showing up, i.e, a worsening of the result, afterward. if someone is very heavy in the neck with a lot of padding, then i can lipocontour them through selective surgical reduction of fat with direct visualization of the fat with the idea that i must leave fat on muscle so that the bands don't show up, then hope and pray that they do not. if they do, you have bought yourself a facelift or some restylane to try to put fat back in there. o/w Accent XL which i have in my laser center can offer radiofrequency tightening but it is not a facelift per se. hope that helps.
