Hi, I had a mole removed about 10 days ago from just above my smile line (about hlf a cm above it). It now seems that when i smile my smile line is slightly distorted on thatside of the face. I had it done by a plastc surgeon and I have a line about 1cm long that sits just above that smile line. I was just wondering if that distortion will always be there or if that will go back to being the same as the other side of my fae in time?

i make it a point not to answer questions from individuals who have just had a procedure done. it is best to ask your surgeon otherwise i am interfering with proper physician-patient relationship, and that is not right.

Thanks for your reply i appreciate you can't comment on another surgeons work. Could you suggest what results you would expect from one of your patients who wanted to have a mole removed from above the smile line but not on it?

in one of my patients, there can be variable recovery depending on how much swelling. sometimes i can distortion patterns around the removal sometimes i don't. i know that sounds wishy-washy but it is true. there is too much variability i healing to make any judgments in most cases in my opinion.
