Dr. Lam, I have had 3 deep erbium laser treatments, along with a CO2 Fraxel Laser Surgery with TCA Peel for the box car / rolling acne scars which are mainly concentrated on my cheeks. I believe I achieved about 40% improvement (mostly due to the CO2 Fraxel) as my scars are much softer in appearance and are now very shallow. However the outlines / shading of all the scarring is still very much present, giving the appearance of depressions that look deeper than they actually are. At this point, I'm done with resurfacing my skin any further and am considering setting up a consult with you soon, to see if Silicone microdroplets could fill in the scars and give me further improvement. However, my skin is sensitive and gets irritated fairly easy and am weary of silicone as I'm afraid I could have some negative reaction to it. With that said, can mini-facelifts (for someone in their late twenties) be beneficial for acne scars? My scars are shallow enough that when I pull back my skin, my scars flatten out and seem hardly noticiable. Could a mini-facelift give me this effect permanently?
Regards,
Dominic
