A board certified plastic surgeon injected too much radiesse in my cheek/nS area. It looks terrible.

How long will radiesse take to totally dissipate? And will my original cheek contour come back?

Hi Dr. Lam,

I had Juvederm to fill in tear trough areas below the eyes. The places of injection look darker at certain light angles. I was hoping this was bruising so got treated with low settings of V-beam but it didn't resolve it. I think it's called 'Tindal effect' - the filler scatters light in a certain way beneath the skin and creates that dark-circle impression.

I noticed the posts earlier on Skin tightening procedures and how a CO2 was no different from a lighter treatment in terms of collagen remodeling. I wondered, have you seen any significant skin tightening and/or collagen remodeling with the Plasma treatments? Is most of the benefit from plasma treatments come from the deep tissue heat or from the resurfacing component of the treatment (eg skin peel). Thank you.

I have read about Restylane SubQ, a filler currently not yet approved in the U.S. but being used in Europe and Canada. It is purported to last longer than standard Restylane and be better for providing cheek volume. Do you have any opinion on SubQ yet? Any guess on when it may be approved and do you plan on using it?

I know you can use perlane to sculpt the cheeks, but I was wondering if you can put Perlane in the buccal (lower area of face) to help fill out the hollow look. Ultimately, I am plan on having you do fat transfer for me, but I will have to wait about a year because I currently have sculptra.

Also, do IR/radiofrequency tighetening devices have any effect on the longeticty of Perlane ...

as you know I had 1 syringe of Radiesse split between my anterior cheeks (below the malar septum line and above the nasolabial line). I had no bruising but some swelling for 3 days when my face looked 'fat'. Now, one week after the injection, the swelling is gone and I can't locate the filler at all by palpation. I had restylane and perlane injected in my face almost 3 wks. ago and love the results.

HOw long before my face stops changing; is it a few months as you have noted for the fat grafting?

I can still see one swollen spot under my left eye, but otherwise I can not believe the difference this has made.
