Dr. Lam,

I was told by a plastic surgeon that I have "heavy tissue" which won't respond well to a facelift. I am confused by what is meant by "heavy tissue"; my skin is very, very thin and I have very little facial fat. If I have very little fat under the skin, what is making the "heavy tissue"?

If a patient lost about 5 lbs. after full facial fat transfer, would it cause any issues with new fat transfer?

I came across an article in the medical journal Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (Vol. 137, Issue 2) where fibrin glue was used to modulate resorption of grafted fat in Nu/Nu mice. Is fibrin glue something that you would use in your patients and if so, do you believe that it will be effective in getting fat to stay in especially challenging areas such as the human neck?

I've got something which i can't understand is that in order to look our best and younger for our nose and below part which is the jaw and chin area.

Do you recommend : fillers (for filling buccal and jowl area) , or do a lower face lift ( not to tighten but to remove excess skin so it will be firmer), or simply go for the latest ulthera treatment to tighten ...

Hi, I'm 35 year old asian and underwent 3 fat transfer surgeries to correct my hollow eyes and flat cheeks. i was reading some of your posts on this topic, and am now a bit worried. if i do have fat in my forehead, and am still fairly young, what will happen with this fat as i grow older? (will it become lumpy? i know i run the risk of pushing my brows down as well....) would you suggest having a procedure to get rid of the fat, or just stick it ...

You are board certified in face and neck surgery with an international clientele. I would like to know if fat grafting can be done to the neck where the thin layer of fat behind the skin has been lost due to IPL damage.

If it is possible to graft fat to the neck, would the grafting procedure be performed in conjunction with a neck lift?

Hi, I was just wondering that if you were to get a fat graft just under the eyes and the cheek area and then began to gain weight afterwards would the area that was just injected also increase in size?

I've always tried to gain weight in those areas but it seems the fat just go's to the chin and unwanted areas. Now with a fat supply in those areas, wouldn't they also increase or ...
