I have read that there is, perhaps, a risk to the vocal cords. DH assures me this is a risk I am willing to take. :wink:

I think you mentioned this somewhere on your website but i could not remember. How does weight gain/loss affect the facial fat grafts? Is it better to have the fat grafts done when you are thinner or heavier? My weight tends to fluctuate by 10-15 lbs, depending on the season. I am 5'5" with median weight 135.

Second question - does previous liposuction prohibit using that area for fat grafting?

Hi Dr. Lam,

Obvioulsy from reading all your posts, it's clear you do fat-grafting for the upper cheeks and orbital rim. I understand you are also excellent with techinquie so it does not have the problem of dissapearing like other surgeons.

Curious, what is your thougtht on sculpting the lower face with fat, for example, the area around the mouth and the lower part of the face that tends to get hollow. I have heard ...

Dr Lam, I was just wondering in your experience whether or not you have found temple acne scarring harder to treat than scars on other areas of the face.? Also what would you recommend for rolling/boxscar scars on the temples and also a generally crappy texture in the scarred areas.??

You may have answered this question in previous posts, but I was wondering if it is possible for you to give the patient a "preview" of sorts of what fat grafting would accomplish in the lower eyelid/cheek junction and upper cheeks using fillers such as Radiesse and Restylane? Obviously this would be temporary and therefore not as cost-effective in the ...

you said you sculpt men's faces differently from women's. What is the difference?

I had a half syringe of Radiesse per cheek downwards from the mallar septum line. I wanted it more around the line to smooth it out and on the cheek bone to create more angularity and perhaps if there was something left, in the lower/buccal cheeks to fill in hollows.

I am in my mid thirties and want to know if I am too young for fat injections. I have two children and have gone through my fat phases twice now. I fluctuate in my weight by 5 to 10 pounds at any given time, and I am concerened that this procedure will make me look fat. Busy mom tired of looking tired.
