I had a full face fat transfer a week ago today, plus lips. My lips are so huge and I can't go out in public. Can you tell me how long this will last? The rest of my face is fine and I also had an upper lid lift. It's all doing well, but the lips. I have an event to go to in eight days and I am in a panic.

Had fat transfer done for hands and feet about 5 years ago....I had some lipo on my abs and the surgeon harvested the fat and put it in my hands. The surgeon actually did 2 transfers, once at the time of lipo, then about a month later. Absolutely loved the results.

From your site I know your opposed to injected fat for facial atrophy. But what about if fat is used to augment the cheek areas what happens to surrounding skin? Does it smooth itself out from the fat?

Why most doctors in the US do not use Dr. Amar's fat grafting technique? Someone told me it's a lot more work than regular fat grafting ;) I'm wondering about it, especially because it's known to be effective for lips, whereas regular fat grafting is not?
