Do you ever place fat above the cheekbone? I've seen after pictures of fat transfer patients where the fat is placed up much higher to the eye and some times where the fat is placed lower in the cheek? Do you always place the fat in the cheek in the same spot in every patient or in different places depending on what they want?

I agree with Dr. Lam... symmetry is overrated when it comes to judging something beautiful. Something simmetrical can look boring or average and a face with asymmetries can be of the most interesting faces ever. While symmetry certainly plays a role in beauty, I believe a certain degree of asymmetry is what makes us look more unique, more "Human" in a good way... even ...

I am always surprised at how many people get cheek implants that look absolutely awful. Wonder why they don't go for fillers or fat grafting... Anyway, 90% of the time they don't even look not too well, they look odd!

I would never ever ever get those (prefer fat grafting one day, thankyouverymuch) but wonder why on earth do they turn out so so ...

1) Have you ever used it for the anterior cheeks and how does it compare to either perlane or radiesse?

2)Which do you find to give to most natural result for the cheeks while being least likely to cause lumps that develop later (granulomas?)

A) What do you prefer as filler for the cheek area (only to slightly fill them): PMMA (polymetacrylate sp?) OR reticulated hyaluronic acid? Which one is the safest? Which product would you choose yourself? Or none of these?
B) Some dermatologists use lypolitic substances to dissolve small fatty areas/"bags" in the undereye area. Do you think that is a safe procedure??

I believe you answered this question already but I want to make sure I have realistic expectations -- the fat on and around by chin (in front of jowel, chin itself and area between lip and chin) was completely melted by a Thermage procedure -- the skin is now loose and uneven. I have two questions:
Will fat grafting replenish the fat that was lost ?
