Hi Dr. Lam,
I had a cheek and jaw bone reduction surgery done in Korea about 3 years ago. Due to the slight excess skin from this surgery and loss in facial fat, I now have the formation of jowls right next to my (implanted) chin, which can make the chin implant more noticeable.
I do receive botox, but really have to keep up with it (which can be fairly expensive) and have to be VERY selective about my diet to ensure that facial swelling doesn't occur, so that the jowls do not come back.
I've spoken to a plastic surgeon and he said the only way to deal with this is to have a facelift but was wondering what your opinion might be. When I do pull my skin back, I can see the jawline that I really was hoping for but somehow not able to achieve.
I do appreciate any feedback that you might have and thank you for your time.
