botox can take anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks to take effect. in general, it is pretty consistent time interval based on a person's physiology. however, obviously, there can be some variability. also, remember that botox typically really only lasts 3 months. if you are lasting 8 months it means one of three things: 1. you are very lucky. 2. it is really not lasting that long but you are just stopping the habit of frowning. 3. it is not lasting that long but what you are seeing is residual muscle show because you are not getting it often enough to really weaken the muscle. i liken it to exercise. if you go often your muscles become stronger stronger and stronger. if you botox something consistently enough it gets weaker and weaker and weaker and then you don't need it that often anymore.
