I was injected with perlane and juvederm in my cheek area with some restylane as well. I went in for a touch up because he has been saving my left over product and told me to come in before it expired. He (the PS) completely overcorrrected my upper cheek area. I look like a chipmunk. The results are not making me crazy and I can tolerate it, but it looks unlike me. I heard that the cheek area last a long time with fillers, is that true. I just really want to hear that it will go down and I will look better again.

fillers in the cheek area CAN last a long time but i don't know what he put in there, how much, what technique, and how your body responds to it. therefore, i cannot say that it lasts a long time. here are 3 suggestions:
1. wait for the swelling to go down. if it is past 2 weeks, i would consider that it is not swollen too much anymore.
2. wait for the product to go down but this may be a few weeks, months, or even a year so that may not be reasonable.
3. dissolve it down. just vitrase it a bit so that you have the cheek go down a bit.
4. have your surgeon see it so that the cheek can be balanced and feathered with the buccal region. that can make the cheek look balanced. big cheeks are not the answer for youth. a balanced face is. if he does not know what you are talking about, go with a safer route which is to dissolve it down a bit.

I appreciate your great response to my questions. The problem is, I have moved out of the state and no longer have contact with my PS, that is why I emailed you for an opinion. My buccal zone was filled with perlane and my anterior cheek was filled with juvederm. My face does not look too bad at all, but does look a bit heavy in the upper front cheek area and when I smile my front cheeks look big. I definately have been overcorrected in my upper cheek area right below the orbital rim area of the tear trough. In the future I will be more conservative with my touch ups. Again, thanks for sharing your insights as to what I may do. I think I will just live with it since I have moved and hope that the product will go down a bit.

sounds good. when you are burned out, just vitrase it down.
