Hi Dr. Lam,

Can one have a fat transfer while taking blood thinners? Or, would you have to stop taking them for a certain period of time before the procedure and start again afterward?

technically you probably could compared with my other procedures. however, i would still recommend 2 things:
1. a medical clearance if you are on blood thinners like coumadin or plavix.
2. stopping them anyway with medical clearance. or if you are just on a baby aspirin, please stop a week before and start a couple days after.
i need to know what you mean by "blood thinner".

Coumadin. I only have to take it for 5 more months so I will just wait for any procedures.

just wait. sounds good. plan for a consult if you haven't because i am currently booked into May even for consults right now. by the time you decide for even a consultation, i will already be booked into late 2009. just fyi.
