no, that is not a good idea for a ton of reasons.
1. it is not cost feasible for me to open an operating room, go through a preoperative clearance, then give you sedation for a test spot.
2. fat takes well in most cases but may take slightly less in a fold or in a certain area. that does not mean that you are a bad candidate. if anything, you derive your benefit from having the face done in its entirety. you will probably see very little change with a drop of fat in one tiny area. i call that the 5% rule. see the following video:
http://www.lamfacialplastics.com/plasti ... eo_id,528/in general, if you put a little fat in one place, you are having to put too much to see a result by staring at the chin. when i put a little in all the right places, you see the cumulative effect of my 5% rule. just 5% on a result will be interpreted as a zero, which you will interpret as, "Well, I guess I am not a candidate for fat." What, are you kidding? It simply makes no sense.
If you believe all the scariness with bad grafting, that is not about what I do. You can buy a Ferrari or a Yugo. They are not the same car, believe it or not. I offer a Ferrari of a fat transfer. Just because one doctor does not know how to do it well does not mean that the procedure does not work or is not safe. It is safe and works well in my hands. When your trust reaches a point that you are comfortable with what I can do, we can do a consultation. But for all the reasons outlined above, I won't put fat in just one part of the face. Plus, if you decide not to do fat elsewhere and you just put it in your chin, the fat in one part of the face may look a bit weird as it would not grow and blend uniformly the way that I put it in and the way that I design it to do that.
best,
