Greetings Dr. Lam, i will explain as quickly and accurately my issue and hopefully you will get the basic idea due to the limitation of English not being my native language :
I had a Rhinoplasty 7 months ago to fix a respiratory problem. As expected i had developed swelling and bruising under my eyes which subsided after 2 weeks. I also used Hirudoid cream to accelerate the dissolution of the bruising (still not sure if this was wise or had a negative impact to my current situation).
After the swelling subsided i was left (and still have) these vertical, dynamic fine lines/wrinkles under my eyes and especially in the corners. Now these vertical lines i described them as dynamic because i see them forming when i am doing the eyes closure movement; in that under eye area and especially in the corners i must have a little excessive skin which creates these wrinkles upon eyes closure. These vertical lines are more prominent and visible when i wake up (as when i sleep my eyes are closed for several hours) and i can almost completely erase them by simply moving that area a little left or right with my fingers or by using a cotton pad. Its like the cotton pad "wipes" them off.
I think by using this "method" it temporary tightens that area which becomes normal/flat and this lasts for several hours. Gradually, as time passes by, with the inevitable blinking of the eyes and other random incidents that forces you to close the eyes, the wrinkles are slowly reforming/reappear again. So this is really only a temporary solution not a fix sadly. The worst part is as i mentioned right when i wake up i really look like i am 80 years old in that area when i am only 26.
I will provide/upload digital photos Doctor to you on Tuesday via PM/updating this thread as im still not at home, but judging and assessing what i mentioned so far, from your rich and extensive experience, am i a good candidate for pinch blepharoplasty ? (the mildest form of blepharoplasty). From what i understand, granted i could be wrong, chemical peels, laser resurfacing or injectable fillers wont work on me as these lines are dynamic and not static.
I will only trust you on this, and if you can help me to fix this issue i am willing to travel all the way from Greece and book and a Hotel near your area for 1-2 weeks as local surgeons seem to be rather inexperienced and you just can't trust them.
Sorry for the long post, hopefully you will be able to help me with this as its really devastating, it would be great to read your first response, your first thoughts even without providing the photos yet. Also with your reply please do let me know if where you want me to send the photos of my under eyes area (PM to you on forums? an email?). Thanks a lot for your time and contribution Dr. Lam, best wishes.
