There is all this *discussion* on a lot of plastic surgery message boards of the many different methods of fat grafting. People second guessing every So I thought I'd come to you...since you usually are straight forward and tell it like it is. What is the difference between you and say someone like Coleman? Scientifically speaking, is there an actual difference?

honestly, our "methods" are pretty similar. our results are not. i tend to use lower volumes than he does for one. second, if you hire two artists, you will have two different results. he is artistic in his own way. i am in my way. truly that is the big difference. if you like his results, go to him. if you like mine, go to me. as far as technique, obviously, there are probably subtle results in terms of how we put it in but i don't know since i have never seen him operate, but we both use micro-injections with blunt cannulas. so in that respect we are similar.

Thanks...I've always wanted someone to address this. Another thing that I think may differ is the amount of scar tissue stirred up between methods. Possibly?

you do build up some scar tissue. that can just happen by passing the cannula through. however, it is truly negligible in terms of the result. the fat is a live graft that is a live graft. the bulk of your result does NOT represent scar. that is the belief of some docs who claim that is what survives. absolutely not. as a testament, fat does fluctuate with major weight changes (30 pounds usually) and as the blood supply kicks in, it starts to blend and shape. watch my video lecture 4th from the bottom when i was in st. louis to understand that better.
