Hi DR. Lam.On Our last vist for botox i asked you about possible rhinoplasty. You said i had thick skin and would require defattening for optimum results. I just about made my mind up to have it done when i started reading a bunch of negative blogs from various plastic surgeons around the world regarding defattening. In fact a bunch of Dr's say they won't do it bacause of increased chances for necrosis. whats your take on this ?
good question. i know about this risk but i am very conservative with the degree of doing this and have never encountered any problems. i don't defat the entire tip just the area of the supra tip to help it scar down better. by doing that i think any risk to the skin is extremely rare. s
