I was online and saw they were sellling juvederm and other fillers online. Can I buy the stuff and syringe needle and inject the product myself if I get trained. I watched the demos on youtube of physicians doing it and I think it looks fairly easy. What do you think, I really think it would be easier to do it myself.

Please, you must be joking! First, Juvederm is only sold to licensed physicians. If that "company" would sell it to you and you are not a licensed physician, you might be getting fake product. I had a lady who came from the Virgin Islands to do fat transfer but she had to cancel after getting here because she had fake Restylane placed there. For all I know, it could be plastic. Remember the guys that were sold "Botox" in Florida and they wound up on life support in a coma for 3 months? Any further comment on my part is ridiculous. Please use some common sense and have a licensed AND EXPERIENCED injector work with you. I have seen way too many disasters from inexperienced injectors.

The reason I would like to do it myself is that I have read far too many horror stories about people who have had terrible injectors, even those with the highest reputations have done poor jobs on people. The most horror stories have been in laugh lines, tear troughs and lips. If I do go to someone, how do I trust that they will be good. I mean, even board certified plastic surgeons have done poor jobs on people's laugh lines and ect from what I have read. What is the key to making sure I get injected correctly. Do I tell them to inject juvederm or restyline deep into skin to prevent the product from being seen under skin or from beads forming on the surface, I mean what do I tell them to do. They just don't have a clue most of them. Seriously, you are the only one who really gets what you are doing, the other doctors just don't understand what they are doing it seems, but charge so much money to get crap performed. I would fly to see you in a heartbeat if I could. Please give me some advice as far as who I can trust to do a good job on me.

Amygirl, you are in the same boat as me, I want to inject myself with juvederm or something also. All the stories I have read about people getting injected are terrible. I know there are so many people out there who want to get the product themselves and do their own procedures.

Well, it looks like Dr. Lam doesn't think it is a good idea for us to buy the product ourselves, so maybe we should listen. I was starting to get excited about not going to another person. I wish I could fly out to see Dr. Lam. He really is the best out there. I like how he uses blunt canola or whatever they are.

You might end up with blunt canola (sic) in your face! Don't do it, ladies and gents. This isn't the holiday turkey we're working on here. You make good points, but this isn't a good solution.

thanks all. just be thoughtful and conservative. it is your face! i stopped doing live teaching courses because looking at the doctors do what i would consider brain dead easy scared my pants off me. so now, i only do lectures and not live teaching. too frightening. filling smile lines is in most cases easy. what i do is shape faces with Restylane with cannulas. a whole different animal.
