not asleep but under iv sedation. it is much more comfortable to have some intravenous sedation. i can do that because i have a fully accredited surgical facility.

So, when you say not asleep, you dont mean awake, right? My daughter says thats the only thing she's nervous about, she doesnt want to be able to hear what's going on.

it is like a wisdom tooth removal. you are grogged out pretty far during the part of the early anesthesia but then you are more awake toward the end. it is not scary except my singing is pretty bad. she may hear that. kidding aside, don't worry. she will be sedated for most of the case but awake enough but not anxious toward the end.
