Dear Dr Lam,

I was wondering why you don't use aquamid as a permanent filler?

two reasons:
1. it is not FDA approved for use in the U.S., i.e., it is illegal to use in the U.S.
2. i have heard very bad things about it. i believe it has been pulled from several countries, but don't quote me on that.
